Hey there! I’m Tim Biscaye, founder of accendo groupe, and I’ve got a story to share that’s as colorful as the places I’ve been.
Picture this: a 16-year-old me, spending a summer in Honduras building grain storage units.
That’s where my passion for global economies and emerging markets kicked off. Fast forward a bit, and I’m packing my bags, leaving the hustle of New York for the charm of southern France. Why? To learn French, of course!
But my journey didn’t stop there! The 90s saw me in Morocco, and before I knew it, I’d worked across 5 continents, 38 countries, and 10 different industries. Talk about a global citizen, right?
Along the way, I picked up French and some Moroccan Arabic to go with my English. Trust me, it comes in handy!
Now, you might be wondering, “Tim, what exactly do you do?” Well, I’m all about people. Whether it’s managing teams, acquiring talent, or helping with transitions, I’ve been there, done that.
From sustainable development in West Africa to humanitarian work in the Middle East, I’ve seen it all. And let’s not forget the start-ups, scale-ups, and turnarounds I’ve been part of. It’s been an exciting and enriching ride!
In 2011, I decided to take all this experience and create something of my own – accendo groupe.
I’m a dad to three amazing young adults, two awesome daughters-in-law, and now, I’m a grandpa to three adorable grand children!
Being a dad has been the highlight of my life. I always made sure to put family first, even when it meant sneaking out of meetings to pick up my kids. It wasn’t always easy, but it was totally worth it!
And you know what? It gave me a whole new perspective on supporting working parents, especially moms. I’ve even made some big sacrifices for family – like taking a pay cut just so I could enjoy the simple things, like having coffee with my loved ones in the morning.
For me, it’s all about living life fully and being there for the people who matter most. I’m super proud to be a dad and a grandpa now, and I’m more than happy to share my experiences with you!
I may be an aging white dude, but this old guy is gonna keep fighting alongside women’s movements to create more space for them in our world. I’m not afraid to use my voice to advocate for gender equality and women’s leadership.
So yeah, that’s me – Tim Biscaye, proud dad, doting grandfather of three amazing granddaughters and passionate advocate for women’s equality.
